Headings

Slide 1 / 5

HTML has six heading levels,
(most important) through
(least):

World News

Europe

Economy

Headings form the outline of a page. Use one
for the page's main topic, then
for sections and
for subsections β€” don't skip levels, and never pick a heading just because of its size. Screen readers and search engines use this outline to understand and navigate the page.
