Forms & Interactive Elements

Buttons, text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons, drop-downs, labels, and form submission.

Interactive elements

Slide 1 / 5

Most of HTML displays content; interactive elements let visitors act:

β€’ <button> β€” something to click. β€’ <input> β€” a single-line field, checkbox, radio button, and more. β€’ <select> β€” a drop-down list. β€’ <textarea> β€” multi-line text.

On their own they don't send anything anywhere. Wrap them in a <form> to submit data, or connect them to JavaScript to react instantly β€” like the counter button in Chapter 1.
