git log

Slide 1 / 5

git log lists commits, newest first: the hash, author, date, and message.

Useful variations: git log --oneline β€” one line per commit. git log --oneline --graph --all β€” a drawing of branches and merges. git log -3 β€” only the last three commits. git log --author="Ada" β€” commits by one person. git log -- index.html β€” commits that changed one file. git log --since="2 weeks ago" β€” recent commits only.
