Selecting and entering content

Slide 1 / 5

Click a cell to select it, or drag across cells to select a range. Hold Ctrl to add separate cells to a selection, click a column letter or row number to select the whole column or row, and press Ctrl+A to select everything.

Type to enter content, then press Enter (moves down) or Tab (moves right). To change part of a cell's content, double-click it or press F2 to edit in place — typing into a selected cell replaces everything in it.

Delete clears a cell's content but keeps its formatting; Home ▸ Clear lets you clear formats, contents, or both.
