Health Equity Analytics

Collect and use race, ethnicity, language and social data responsibly; stratify measures, find disparities, avoid misleading comparisons and support equity improvement.

Why stratify

Slide 1 / 5

An overall rate can hide large gaps. A clinic with 75% hypertension control overall may have 82% control for English-speaking patients and 58% for Spanish-speaking patients. Stratifying measures by race, ethnicity, language, sex, age, insurance, disability and neighborhood shows where care isn't reaching people equally — the first step to fixing it. CMS and accreditors increasingly require stratified reporting.
