Query Management

The query lifecycle (open, answered, closed, re-queried), writing effective manual queries, query metrics and aging, reducing query burden and working with sites.

The query lifecycle

Slide 1 / 5

1. Opened — by an edit check (automatic) or a person (manual: DM, CRA, medical monitor). 2. Answered — the site corrects the data (which may auto-close the query) or responds (e.g. 'confirmed as per source'). 3. Reviewed — the query owner accepts the response and closes it, or re-queries if the answer is unclear. 4. Closed. All steps are recorded in the audit trail.
