Filtering with WHERE

SELECT ... FROM, WHERE, comparison operators, AND/OR, IN, LIKE, BETWEEN, and DISTINCT.

Every basic query has the same shape:

SELECT city FROM global_air_quality;

Select several columns with commas — SELECT city, country, value — or every column with SELECT *, handy for a quick look but wasteful on large tables.

The result of a query is itself a table: rows and named columns.
