Curriculum

11 chapters, each with a tutorial, a live example, a quiz, an exercise, a challenge, and class practice.

  1. 1

    Introduction to Pandas

What pandas is, Series and DataFrames at a glance, and getting started.

  2. 2

    Series & DataFrames

Creating Series with labels, building DataFrames, the index, and selecting rows with loc and iloc.

  3. 3

    Reading & Analyzing Data

Reading CSV and JSON, viewing large tables, and the first checks: head, tail, info, and describe.

  4. 4

    Selecting, Filtering & Sorting

Choosing columns, filtering rows with conditions, isin and query, sorting, and adding columns.

  5. 5

Finding missing values, removing rows with dropna, and filling gaps with fillna, mean, median, and mode.

  6. 6

Cleaning Wrong Formats, Wrong Data & Duplicates

Converting formats with to_datetime and to_numeric, fixing impossible values, and removing duplicates.

  7. 7

    GroupBy

Split-apply-combine: grouping rows, aggregating with sum, mean, count, and agg, and grouping by several columns.

  8. 8

    Merging & Joining

Combining DataFrames with concat, merge on keys, join types, and checking results.

  9. 9

    Pivot Tables & Reshaping

pivot_table, crosstab, and reshaping between wide and long formats with melt and pivot.

  10. 10

    Correlations

Measuring relationships between columns with corr(), reading correlation values, and their limits.

  11. 11

    Plotting
